joe says "yelo 2lip"

Today Joe wants to share with Portland a wonderful project designed to spread awareness of an important subject that's often difficult to talk about: mental health. Started by a brave young woman who lost two friends to mental illness in the last year, the Yellow Tulip Project is meant to let people know that "Hope Happens" and to help smash the stigma around mental illness. While this can be a difficult subject to address, Joe urges everyone to be open and frank about discussing a problem that can deeply affect lives and entire communities. He would also like to thank Julia for showing the courage to spearhead this effort and sharing her love and warmth with the city of Portland.

Find more about the Yellow Tulip Project here, and if you're in the Bridgton area on October 10th, check out Yellow Tulip's event at 3pm at the Community Center. Learn more about Yellow Tulip events here.
