Joe is so grateful for the men and women who put themselves in harm's way to keep the rest of us safe. Since he was a young boy roaming the streets of his Deering neighborhood, Joe has benefited from the protection of the Portland Police Department. Today's message is in honor of Lieutenant Gary Hutcheson, who is retiring after 25 years of service for the City of Portland. For a quarter century Lt. Hutcheson has patrolled the streets of our city, keeping us safe and sound. Joe offers his thanks not just to Lieutenant Hutcheson but to everyone in uniform who keeps us safe.
