Readers of this blog know that Joe's a big fan of The Maine Youth Rock Orchestra, an organization that's redefining music education for students of all backgrounds and demographics through collaboration with national artists, creating transformational experiences. Students who participate in MYRO ensembles are able to express their individuality through a classical skill set, while performing concerts with nationally-recognized artists that reinforce their love for alternative genres from classical.

MYRO is currently saying a warm farewell and thank you to Kevin Gates, the longtime leader of this great organization. Joe joins MYRO in wishing Kevin the best going forward, and warmest thanks for all the good work done here in Portland.
