Two of Joe's favorite uses of the Time & Temp is promoting local arts and medical research. Today, he's doing both by spreading the word about Amethyst: a Purple Vision. This art installation, on display August 25th and 26th at O'Maine Studios at 57 Danforth Street in Portland, is not only an impressive work of art; it's also a raising funds and awareness for cancer. Local artist Sam Koenigsberg, who bravely fights brain cancer, uses his art as a way to battle his illness in a different way. He has created an installation with a purple aura (purple, and the crystal Amethyst, are considered to be healing colors), and the event is sure to be an inspiring one. Joe urges you to check it out and wishes Sam well in all his future endeavors.
