As Portlanders know, Joe spends more time promoting local nonprofits than his own law firm on the Time & Temp. Well, today he's promoting a local non-profit that *promotes* local nonprofits. The Maine Association of Nonprofits is celebrating Nonprofit Day, an opportunity to shine a spotlight on nonprofits as the essential community infrastructure they are.
MANP's mission is to enrich the quality of community and personal life in Maine by strengthening the leadership, voice, and organizational effectiveness of our state's nonprofits. Every day, Mainers rely on nonprofits to nurture our minds, protect our environment, inform our government, educate our children and drive our economy-all while investing significant financial and human resources throughout the state.
Today, February 11th, MANP hosted Nonprofit Day, a collective day of action to raise awareness for how #NonprofitsWorkforME.
