joe says "MGA 5 19"

Readers of this blog know that Joe likes to promote local educational institutions. Today he's spreading the word about the Maine Girls' Academy, the only school in Maine where everything is designed just for girls. At MGA, girls are surrounded by role models. Every top scholar, artist, team captain and student council president is a girl. MGA focuses on the distinct learning styles of girls, responding to the emerging brain research on the way girls learn best and introducing the “habits of mind” that will support them throughout their years in high school, college and beyond.

On May 19th, the MGA is hosting its annual Grace & Grit Traditions Auction. Enjoy live music and local fare from Elsmere BBQ and others. Plus, games, silent and live auction, raffles and more! Doors open at 5:30pm, and the fun will last for hours. Joe hopes the event goes off without a hitch, and he offers his thanks to the fine folks at MGA for the great work they do in our community.
