Today Joe is promoting the McAuley Residence, a transitional housing program serving single women and women with children. The goal of McAuley Residence is to help women acquire the skills that they need to become self-sufficient. For those who are parents, this means a new and better life for their children as well. For nearly 30 years, that goal has been met time and time again. Tomorrow, Saturday October 19th, the McAuley Residence is hosting its annual 5k Run/Walk for Recovery. To be held at the Mercy Fore River Campus in Portland, this event will feature music, food trucks, and flu shots/blood pressure screening (courtesy of Northern Light Home Care & Hospice).
