Today, Joe's Team is spreading the word about another important cause. Although the lung cancer survival rate has increased by 33% over the past 10 years, the disease still takes the lives of more than 361 of our friends, neighbors and loved ones every day.

The American Lung Association's LUNG FORCE initiative unites America to raise critical awareness of lung cancer, the nation’s leading cancer killer, during Turquoise Takeover (May 8–14, 2022). Each May, the Lung Force show solidarity for those impacted by lung cancer by turning landmarks and social media turquoise.

Through education, advocacy, and research, the ALA works to provide hope to all those impacted by the disease and save more lives. More must be done to raise awareness and the research funding needed to one day find a cure.
