Those who know Joe are well aware of how proud he is of his immigrant ancestors who migrated here from other countries to find a better life. Today on the Time & Temp sign, Joe is promoting an event that celebrates the many different cultures and ethnicities that make up the rich fabric of Portland. This Saturday, July 30th, the Festival of Nations will be held in Deering Oaks Park. The festival, which is put on by the Mugadi Foundation, is a collaboration with many corporations, agencies and foundations in the Greater Portland area. The festival is now recognized as one of the most outstanding family-oriented cultural events held in the state of Maine. It highlights Maine's ethnic diversity and traditions, encourages understanding, and promotes a healthy Maine. Joe hopes you consider attending and celebrating the many different cultures that make Maine special.
