joe says "book sale"

Who's up for some summer reading? Joe just might take a break from reading briefs and memos to pick up a book at the Portland Public Library's Annual Book Sale, held by the Portland Education Foundation. Portland Education Foundation is an independent nonprofit 501(c)3 organization aligned with Portland Public Schools in order to raise philanthropic support in response to District needs. Working in close partnership with the Library, PEF organizes an Annual Book Sale in which all proceeds benefit the Library. The book sale will offer tens of thousands of books under $3, and other rare books and related items.

This year, Portland Public Schools Educators are invited to shop the 2017 Portland Public Library Annual Book Sale and choose up to ten books free for a classroom or school library. Please bring employee identification with you to the sale.

The sale will take place in the Maine Girls Academy Gymnasium located at 631 Stevens Avenue from Thursday, June 15th through Sunday, June 17th. Find more about this local organization here, and more about this event here. As always, Joe hopes the event is a great success.

Read on, Portland.
