Joe is always happy to see local non-profits serving Portlanders, and always loves to spread the word about such organizations on the Time & Temp building. That's why today the sign is flashing a message for AARP, a nonpartisan organization with a membership of more than 37 million that helps people turn their goals and dreams into real possibilities, strengthens communities, and fights for the issues that matter most to families such as healthcare, employment security and retirement planning. AARP Maine, the local chapter of the organization, is hosting a regional forum, "Connecting Health and Housing", on Friday, September 23rd. Join AARP Maine State Director Lori Parham, US Senator Angus King, and an accompanying panel as they discuss important issues related to AARP's mission. Find more about this event here. Joe hopes it's a great success!
