Readers of this blog are well familiar with 100 Women Who Care Southern Maine, the local organization whose mission is to reach out and help the community by finding 100 or more women (the count is currently over 150!) to each contribute $50 four times a year in order to give $20,000+ annually to local charities. Well, now the men of Southern Maine are following suit and taking proactive steps to pool their resources and make a bigger impact than they could individually. 100 Men Who Care Southern Maine, a brand new organization, has a goal of supporting charities and non-profit organizations dedicated to serving and making a difference in our communities. Meeting for just one hour every three months, 100 Men Who Care members are able to nominate and share about charities and non-profit organizations they want to support with $10,000 in just that one hour.
If you're a local man interested in lending a hand to this collective effort, Joe thinks you should consider attending 100 Men's inaugural meeting on Wednesday, January 25th, at 6:30pm at Ri Ra on Commercial Street. Joe hopes it's a great success and that he gets to promote this organization again on the Time & Temp sign!
