As an attorney with decades of experience in the law, Joe puts great stock in the legal rights of Americans. He also knows that these rights can't be taken for granted, which is why he's a big supporter of the American Civil Liberties Union of Maine. The ACLU of Maine is the state's guardian of liberty, active in the courts, the legislature and the public sphere to defend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights for all Mainers. On Thursday, April 28, the ACLU will be hosting its Annual Justice Louis Scolnik Award Dinner at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland.
