joe says "lckr prjt"

Joe likes to use the Time & Temp to shine a light on an issue that should be important to all Mainers: childhood hunger. In Maine, 0ne in four children regularly experiences food insecurity. That's 60,000 Maine schoolchildren and substantially worse than the national average of one in six. Today's message is devoted to an inspiring local organization that's devoted to addressing this important issue: Joe wants you to know about the Locker Project, which works in partnership with the Good Shepherd Food Bank to ensure food security for all Maine children through local schools. The Locker Project works with schools to create programs for providing students with healthy class-time snacks and take-home food for the times they are most likely to experience hunger. The Law Offices of Joe Bornstein is pleased to partner with the Locker Project to help launch the new food pantry at King Middle School in Portland. Joe's staff has conducted a kid-friendly food pantry drive and a warm clothing drive for the kids in need at the school. The Locker Project hopes that one day no child in Maine will have to suffer without food, and Joe shares that hope.

If you are interested in learning more about how your school can partner with the Locker Project to bring food to children in need, contact Executive Director Katie Brown at info @ mainelockerproject.org. You can also find more about this organization here.
