On cold winter nights, sometimes Joe likes to just quietly sit by the fire with his cat Theo. It breaks Joe's heart that some cats don't have such comfortable homes, which is why this weekend he's promoting H.A.R.T.- The Homeless Animal Rescue Team of Maine. Located in Cumberland, H.A.R.T. is an all-volunteer organization that provides a safe refuge to hundreds of homeless cats each year. This great organization relies on the support of individual donors to help rescue and provide shelter for these innocent animals. On Friday, November 14th, H.A.R.T. is holding its annual Litterbox Auction. Held at the Ocean Gateway in Portland, this event will feature a silent and live auction, raffles and door prizes, light dinner fare, cash bar, and fun music.
