One of Joe's favorite things about Portland is the entrepreneurial spirit of the city- a bakery here, a flower shop there; this city has plenty of great businesses offering goods and services everyone can appreciate. This Friday, May 4th, is the fifth annual Downtown Worker Appreciation Day, put on by one of Joe's favorite organizations, Portland Buy Local. At Tommy's Park, Monument Square, and the Art Museum, there will be food, beverages, and gift bags available to downtown workers.
