If you're interested in a fun night out crossed with a Portland tradition, Joe says be sure to check out the 15th Annual Beatles Night at the State Theatre. This year Beatles Night has graduated to a three-night stand at the State Theatre, and the gang has a special lineup for each night. Friday night the band will play 'Revolver' in it's entirety (plus more), Saturday they play 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' in it's entirety (plus more) and Sunday's family matinee will be a set tailored to Beatles fans young and old, playing an early, slightly abbreviated set of family favorites. hits, deep cuts and solo jams complete with live orchestration. Proceeds from the event will go to support the Locker Project, helps ensure food security for all Maine children through local schools, as well as the Maine Youth Rock Orchestra, a local organization dedicated to providing young classical musicians with training and opportunities to play in live music venues with real touring rock bands.
